I received an indication of "copyright infringement" from YouTube that "Muserk Rights Management" is claiming rights ownership. It seems like a copyright infringement claim. What should I do?

Answer

This indicates that “Muserk LLC (Muserk Rights Management) will claim copyright usage fees from YouTube for the music included in the uploaded videos”. It is not a claim of copyright infringement against the uploader of the videos. Although this may give off the impression of a claim of copyright infringement, this is only due to YouTube's processes, and there is no need to delete such videos or make them unavailable for viewing.
Muserk LLC (Muserk Rights Management) is a legitimate rights claiming organization, entrusted by JASRAC to license and collect royalties for mechanical rights on YouTube in the United States. Therefore, you need not file a dispute. (*)
Please also note that Muserk LLC (Muserk Rights Management) will not delete or block videos based on the authority granted to it by JASRAC.
(*) This does not apply where JASRAC affiliates have excluded overseas territories from their mandates to JASRAC.
